The 2022 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors have signed forward Trevion Williams, it was announced today. Per team policy, the terms of the agreements were not released.
Williams, 21, was named the Big Ten’s Sixth Man of the Year as a senior at Purdue in 2021-22, averaging 12.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 20.1 minutes over 37 games (four starts) and garnering Third Team All-Big Ten honors.
As a junior, Williams was named Honorable Mention All-America (AP) and earned First Team All-Big Ten accolades with averages of 15.5 points and 9.1 rebounds in 28 games (26 starts).
Over four seasons with the Boilermakers, the 6’10” forward averaged 10.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 19.0 minutes over 130 games (60 starts), ending his collegiate career as one of only three Big Ten players in the last 30 years to record at least 1,400 points, 900 rebounds and 225 career assists (Draymond Green, Ethan Happ). He was undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft.
