The news came from an unexpected source, but the Golden State Warriors are reportedly set to bring in Jerome Robinson in on a training camp contract. ESPN’s lead NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news in a departure from his normal duties covering the gridiron.
Robinson spent last season with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League. In 22 games, Robinson averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the 2022 champions minor league affiliate.
The 6-foot-4 guard out of Boston College was selected with the 13th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft. Robinson played the first two-and-half years of his career with the LA Clippers. He was traded to the Washington Wizards at the 2020 trade deadline and went on to appear in 38 games in DC over one-and-half seasons.
