Utah Jazz guard Talen Horton-Tucker is exercising his $11 million player option for the 2023-24 season, his agent Rich Paul told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
Horton-Tucker, 22, tallied 10.7 points, 3.8 assists, 3.2 boards in 65 games for his first campaign with the Jazz last 2022-23.
He spent his first three years with the Los Angeles Lakers. After impressing the club in his second year, he went on to receive a three-year, $30.8MM deal from them back in 2021.
Alongside Stanley Johnson, Horton-Tucker was then shipped by the Lakers in last year’s offseason to the Jazz for Patrick Beverley.
A still project player but has shown promising signs with his gifted ball handling and scoring potential, Horton-Tucker will continue to serve as one of the young assets of the emerging Jazz team.
