American forward Alfred Hollins (198-F-1999, college: UTEP) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 41 points he had in the Slovakian league. Hollins graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso three years ago. His excellent performance made his team Lucenec beat the NEXTGEN 107 to 83. He also grabbed 9 rebounds that game. Hollins is the 4th best scorer in the league averaging over 19 points and almost 7 rebounds per game. All of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. He participated in the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas 2 years ago. It helped him to get more exposure and attract teams overseas.
