American guard Jalen Johnson (185-G-1999, college: Union, TN) was tied for the best scorer of the day in the world with the 34 points he had in the Armenian league. Johnson graduated from Union University to years ago. Despite his strong performance, his team Yerevan lost to the Urartu 79 to 97. He also grabbed 9 rebounds that game. Johnson is the best scorer in the league averaging over 35 points and almost 10 rebounds per game. He took part in the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas 2 years ago and it helped him to gain more exposure and find a contract overseas. The summer league is an interesting option for the players who just graduated from university and want to make it to professional basketball. He won the NJCAA D1 Central District championship title in 2020. Interesting fact as Johnson had played in four different colleges in the US in his career.
