American guard Jimmie Taylor (193-G-1994, college: Rider) was the top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 37 points he had in the Luxembourg league. Taylor graduated from Rider University in 2017. His excellent performance made his team Etzella beat the Heffingen 100 to 69. He also grabbed 8 rebounds that game. Taylor is the 9th best scorer in the league averaging almost 23 points and 6 rebounds per game. He participated in the Eurobasket Summer League in Atlanta 5 years ago. It helped him to get more exposure and attract teams overseas. For new university graduates looking to enter pro basketball this is a great first step in the right direction! Among many awards he was selected to the Eurobasket All-Luxembourg League First Team, the All-Domestic Players Team in 2024, as well as to the Third Team in 2023. He was selected to the Eurobasket Summer League in Atlanta (2nd session) All-Star Second Team back in 2020.
