According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Lakers interviewed former Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts for the franchise’s head coaching job in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
As reported by NBA.com’s Mark Medina, Terry Stotts is intrigued with potentially coaching Russell Westbrook and believes he can help him be more effective and comfortable with his role than he was last season.
Terry Stotts coached the Portland Trail Blazers for nine seasons, reaching the playoffs eight times, and guided the Blazers to the 2018-19 Western Conference finals.
The Los Angeles Lakers fired head coach Frank Vogel, who compiled a 127-98 regular season and 18-9 postseason record with the team, after the franchise missed out on the NBA playoffs this season.
