Nikola Jokic was close to having a triple-double as he scored 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished 8 assists, helping the Denver Nuggets defeat the Brooklyn Nets (124-118).
The reigning NBA MVP received praised from opposing head coach. “He’s an MVP for a reason. He’s incredible,” Brooklyn’s head coach Steve Nash said about Jokic, per Harrison Wind.
This season Jokic is averaging 26.2 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.6 assists in 33.2 minutes per game for the Nuggets.
The Nets are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference with 29 wins and 19 defeats. Meanwhile Denver sits in 6th place in the West with a 26-21 record.
