Andrew Wiggins has been out of action due to personal reason since February 13. The 28-year-old small forward will also miss the Warriors’ next game against the Thunder.
Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr talked about the absence of Wiggins and how the team is dealing with it.
“The only thing that matter is just giving Andrew his space that he needs to deal with what he’s going through,” he said. “That’s what we’re doing. Nothing else really matters, the focus of the team or the games, or whatever. It’s just basketball.
“He’s dealing with something that’s important to him and personal and we’re giving him space. Simple as that.”
This season Wiggins is averaging 17.1 points, 5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 32.2 minutes per game.
