Steph Curry is set to be sidelined for some time with no timetable for a return just yet, following the results of an MRI on his left foot.
As reported earlier, the Golden State Warriors point guard underwent scans after limping off against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. He sustained the injury after his leg got trapped under Marcus Smart, who dove to the floor for a loose ball. Smart is now under fire for what many consider to be a dirty play but Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed having spoken to the Celtics guard and understood where he was coming from.
Kerr was initially incensed, however, and was seen yelling at Smart after the collision.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Curry will be out indefinitely as the results of the MRI, though negative, picked up a ligament sprain.
Charania also reports there’s no fracture or major damage.
