Steph Curry is good at a lot of things – basketball, golf, being a Dad and now he’s considering whether he’d be good at president of the United States of America.
Steph was promoting his children’s book, I Am Extraordinary, on CBS Mornings and was asked by Jericka Duncan if he’d would ever consider running for president, after his NBA days are finished.
“Maybe, I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can,” Curry said. “So, if that’s the way to do it, then – I’m not going to say the presidency but if politics is a way that you can create meaningful change or if there’s another way outside of politics.”
Curry certainly has the profile for it, since he is known and loved by millions around the world.
His compassion, as well as his basketball skills, make him a legit candidate.
The prolific three-pointer shooter has a charitable organization Eat. Learn. Play., with his wife Ayesha, that supports kids in the Oakland public school district.
His family are also the national spokes people No Kid Hungry, which aims to ensure kids in the Oakland district has access to three meals a day.
The Warriors guard has also spoken out about racial injustices in the past against Black people.
The 35-year-old definitely still has a lot of good years left to play on the NBA court though, and he has said he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. So don’t fret, Warriors fans!
But looking ahead, if Donald Trump can be president, why can’t Steph?
