Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been cleared of long-term damage to his right knee, after he sustained the injury during the Warriors matchup against the Timberwolves.
It was probably for the best that he wasn’t on the court for Golden State’s second game of the week against Minnesota, since a wild scuffle broke out and Warriors fans want their best asset protected at all times.
The team announced that Steph will be re-evaluated later in the week after an MRI of his knee didn’t show any structural damage.

Dubs coach Steve Kerr shared similar insight into Curry’s injury.
“There was good news with the MRI,” Kerr said. “Nothing alarming. I would say he’s day-to-day. We’ll see and have an update each day and let you know what’s going on. It won’t be long. If he misses another game or two or whatever, it’s not going to be anything long-term.”
During Sunday’s In-Season game against the Timberwolves, Curry took a hard fall and seemed to favor his knee afterwards.
No doubt it would be a relief for Warriors fans to know that Curry will be back on the court soon enough.
He’ll remain out for Golden State’s matchup against Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.
The 35-year-old has been off to a blistering start this season, averaging 30.7 points on 48.8 percent shooting from the field and 44.6 percent from three, to go with 4.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
The four-time champion’s services will definitely be welcomed, since the Warriors are in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
The franchise’s next five games are against OKC (twice), Houston, Phoenix and San Antonio respectively.
