What to expect from our two-way players
This was my favorite article to write because it was my first film study piece I’ve written. It was fun to clip games and try to project where the two-ways guys could fill a role.

Celtics Nation Hater Index: Power rankings for the necessary spite towards all 30 NBA teams
2023 was my first year on the blog and my favorite piece of work has to be the hater index. Right before the season I went through and ranked which teams Celtics fans should be rooting against the hardest.

Richard White, Derrick’s dad, aims to make Celtics Twitter a little less angsty
My conversation with Derrick White’s dad turned into my favorite article of the year – it was so refreshing to be able to highlight how Twitter and online fandoms can be really toxic, and what kind of objective criticism is fair from fandoms. Plus, Richard White is just a really great guy.

The not-so-obvious reason why Sam Hauser deserves more minutes
I thought I made some pretty insightful points here in March about why it’s not smart to target Sam Hauser. And now targeting Sam is the talk of the town!

The impossible (The Celtics have a chance at immortality)
Rewinding a bit, it was an honor to have the opportunity to break down the importance of Game 7 against the Miami Heat and the Celtics’ would-have-been comeback. Though the Celtics didn’t walk away with the win, in no small part due to a twisted ankle, the energy before that game was incredible, and taking a look back into the history of 0-3 playoff comebacks helped bring the situation into historical context. I would rather not see the Celtics in such a situation ever again, if we’re being honest, but getting to cover it was a treat.

It’s bittersweet, but penning a goodbye to Marcus Smart was so cathartic. It still breaks my heart that he’s not experiencing this season in Boston.

Looking back at the 50-point playoff games in Boston Celtics history
After Jayson Tatum hit the Sixers with 51 points in Game 7, I recapped all seven 50-point playoff performances in the franchise record book. Celtics history is my niche, largely because I’ve lived through most of it. I saw six of those seven games as they happened – including two in person. I was proud that the article was well-received and helped readers learn about some of the greatest moments in the Celtics’ 75 seasons.

An Englishman in Boston: the next step of my basketball journey
This ties into my trip to Boston. I really enjoyed writing this. It was a really personal piece touching on some of the stuff I’ve been working through, plus the culmination of a grind that’s been as fun as it has tough. Can’t wait to write part two
