Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark gracefully accepted her exclusion from the U.S. Olympic national women’s basketball team roster on Sunday.
During practice, she addressed reporters for the first time about not being selected for the 2024 team. She mentioned that being left off the roster only fuels her determination to compete for a spot in 2028.
“I’m excited for the girls who are on the team. I know it’s the most competitive team in the world and I know it could’ve gone either way – me being on the team, me not being on the team,” she said, via The Athletic.
