Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander revealed he’s been playing through a quad injury sustained about a week ago during a game against the Utah Jazz.
Despite the injury, Gilgeous-Alexander played in the Thunder’s recent victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Head coach Mark Daigneault acknowledged Gilgeous-Alexander’s condition, stating that he’s not at full strength but emphasized that the injury hasn’t prevented him from playing.
Daigneault noted that they’re monitoring the situation closely, particularly as the Thunder compete for the top seed in the Western Conference, raising the possibility of Gilgeous-Alexander missing games to allow his quad to heal.
