Kentucky Wildcat Shaedon Sharpe has an important decision to make about entering the upcoming 2022 NBA draft, as the Canadian guard is considered a top ten pick on most mocks. And to make things sound even better for Sharpe’s draft stock, basketball insider Jeff Goodman recently said he wouldn’t let him slip past the fifth pick.
“This is a big decision here for Shaedon Sharpe at Kentucky that’s going to really define this Kentucky team,” Goodman said. “He’s going to be a top ten pick for sure. And I still say I wouldn’t let him slip beyond five.”
The soon-to-be 19-year-old didn’t appear in one game for UK this season after deciding to enroll early a few months ago, but already created quite the buzz for himself in high school when he was considered the #1 ranked player in the 2022 class by top scouting services.
“At the end of the day, you’re going to look at him in 5-10 years and say, ‘Why did he slip to five?’” Goodman added.
