Scotty Pippen Jr., a former guard for the Lakers, has reached an agreement on a two-way contract with the Grizzlies, as confirmed by agent Erika Ruiz in a tweet by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The contract spans two years, encompassing the current season and extending into 2024/25.
In his debut season in 2022/23, Pippen, the son of the legendary Scottie Pippen, initially played on a two-way deal with the Lakers after not being selected in the NBA draft from Vanderbilt.
Although he saw limited action in the NBA, accumulating only 32 minutes in six games, he was a consistent contributor for the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League.
Across 35 appearances in the Showcase Cup and regular season, Pippen averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game, showcasing his skills and potential.
