Saddiq Bey Scores 51 Points in Win Over Magic

Detroit Pistons’ sophomore forward Saddiq Bey scored a career-high 51 points in his team’s 134-120 win over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.

“It was a great performance by Saddiq Bey,” Pistons’ head coach Dwane Casey said, via NBA.com.

“He struggled shooting the ball (of late), but to see him bounce back the way he did – he was white hot. It was great to see him have a night like that. It’s something I think he’ll always remember as an NBA player.”

In total, Bey had 51 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals on 17-27 shooting from the field, 10-14 shooting from three, and 7-10 shooting from the line.

The Wagner brothers – Franz and Mo – played well for the Magic, combining for 42 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists on 17-27 shooting.

But nothing could stop Bey from having a career-night.

This season, Bey is averaging 16.3 points and 5.8 rebounds on 40%/35%/82% shooting splits.

The Pistons will need Bey to score at a more efficient clip if they want to compete for playoff positioning in the near-future.
