Russell Westbrook agreed to give up $1.7 million in his buyout with the Utah Jazz, per Keith Smith of Spotrac. The Jazz had recently acquired him in a three-year, $17 million sign-and-trade with the LA Clippers for Kris Dunn. Westbrook is expected to join the Denver Nuggets.
After parting with his longtime agent Thad Foucher in 2022, Westbrook is now represented by Jeff Schwartz. Last season, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 22.5 minutes over 68 games with the Clippers.
