The incident leading to Barrett’s fine took place during Toronto’s lopsided defeat against the Utah Jazz. In the second quarter, Barrett, in an attempt to secure a rebound, had mid-air contact with Utah’s Ochai Agbaji.
Despite Barrett’s fall and attempt to draw a foul, the referees remained unconvinced. The subsequent review concluded that Barrett’s actions constituted a flop.
