Carmelo Anthony became an unrestricted free agent after spending a season with the Lakers. It remains to be seen where he will continue his career, but at least one team has discussed the possibility of adding the 38-year-old veteran.
According to Marc Berman of New York Post, the Knicks have discussed internally potentially adding Anthony as they look for ways to return to the playoffs. Melo has spent seven years in New York and very familiar with the franchise.
This past season he averaged 13.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1 assist in 26 minutes per game for the Lakers.
