Real, Yabusele pen extension through 2025 – News

Real Madrid and big man Guerschon Yabusele have agreed to a contract extension that will keep them together through the end of the 2024-25 season, the club announced on Sunday. Yabusele (2.04 meters, 26 years old) joined Los Blancos over the summer on a one-year contract and has quickly become one of the team’s top performers. He has averaged 12.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals for a PIR of 14.7 in 15 EuroLeague appearances this season.

” Being at Real Madrid has made me a more professional player every day, on and off the court. I just wanted to get here, learn and train,” Yabusele said in an interview published on the Real Madrid’s website shortly after the extension was announced. “I’m with the best players in the league, so being part of this team makes me learn every day, that’s what I try to do.”

Yabusele debuted in the EuroLeague with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne of his native France during the 2019-20 season and played there for a season and a half before joining Real. He started his career with French side Chorale Roanne and has also played for SPO Rouen Basket of France, Shanghai Sharks and Nanjing Monkey Kings of China, Maine of the D-League and Boston of the NBA. Yabusele has been a member of the French national team, too, and helped it win the silver medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
