The Toronto Raptors are in position to “set the market” for the upcoming trade deadline, sources told Michael Grange of Sportsnet.
“Toronto are the first domino. What they do will affect teams all across the league: Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Atlanta – not that it’s about deals with any particular team, just that people are going to be waiting to see what the Raptors do before they make their moves. Toronto could set the market,” according to league sources.
Gary Trent Jr. and Fred VanVleet both have player options for next season.
There is reportedly an “antsiness” surrounding the team due to a lack of direction and success this season, according to sources.
