Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey announced today that the team has signed 11-year NBA veteran Patrick Beverley.
This past season, Beverley appeared in 67 games (all starts) between the Los Angeles Lakers (45 games) and Chicago Bulls (22 games), averaging 6.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27.1 minutes per game.
For his career, Beverley has played for five NBA franchises (Houston, the L.A. Clippers, Minnesota, the Lakers, and Chicago), and holds averages of 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 27.4 minutes across 593 NBA games (503 starts).
Beverley has been selected to three All-NBA Defensive Teams (2013-14, 2016-17, 2019-20), including a First Team selection in 2016-17 with Houston.
The Chicago native was originally selected with the No. 42 selection in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Lakers before he was traded to Miami on draft night.
He began his professional career playing internationally in Ukraine, Greece, and Russia prior to signing with Houston as a free agent during the 2012-13 season.
