Pascal Siakam was off to a terrific start for the Toronto Raptors. Now, the Raptors will be without their All-NBA forward for a while.
Siakam suffered a strained right adductor in Toronto’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. Siakam was seen visibly limping as he exited the floor. The Raptors are saying Siakam will be out indefinitely, and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Toronto has a lot of forward depth, but they’ll be tested without their best all-around player. Siakam has averaged 24.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game in the season’s first nine games. All of those marks are career-best for the seven-year veteran.
