Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam believes that he’ll have a smooth transition playing for new head coach Darko Rajakovic because of his past experiences in different roles.
(via Toronto Raptors):
“I think for me, just taking everything in, observing, and just continue to be me. I think the notion of adapting; as a team we all gotta adapt, we all gotta figure out because he’s a new coach. He’s gonna come in with new stuff and his philosophy; but I think for me, there’s nothing more that I have to adjust than the rest of my teammates at the end of the day. But I also believe that I’ve played in every real position in the NBA. Since the first day I got here; I was running down the floor, Kyle [Lowry] just throwing the ball and I’m catching it and dunking it. From getting to the corner and starting developing ball handling, shooting. So, I’ve seen everything. I think what makes me special is that I’m a hooper at the end of the day. When people work out in the summer and they do one-on-one workouts; I want to play basketball, just because I want to be able to understand the game, play off of guys. Not just doing drills and be a robot. I think that’s my strength as a player. So, I’m definitely not worried about that. I know that my abilities on the basketball court will always prevail into anything, any situation that I’m put in.”
