The Denver Nuggets don’t want to add an increased pressure on the murmurs of late season comeback for Jamal Murray.

As such, they are all leaving the button on the scoring guard if he wants to push it and return this season.

In an interview with Denver’s Sports Station 104.3 The Fan, Nuggets lead executive Tim Connelly claimed that they are leaving the full decision on Murray if he wants to reinforce Nikola Jokic and the co. in the remains of 2021-22 regular season and the upcoming postseason war.

The Canadian cager hasn’t played yet almost a year after tearing the ACL in his left knee, and his on-court presence can definitely help the reigning MVP in carrying the ball club to a much deeper playoff run.

“100 percent,” Connelly declared when he was asked if the franchise will leave the decision to Murray to return, via team insider Mike Singer.

“We want him to feel no pressure, want him to know that the organization has his best interests in mind. … He’s done a great job in rehab, he looks really, really good.”

Though Jokic is surrounded by a plethora of reliable role players in Aaron Gordon, Will Barton, Monte Morris, Jeff Green, and the others, no one can still deny that his combination with Murray can take the Nuggets to the next level. If all are available including Michael Porter Jr., the ball club is indeed a ferocious foe to deal with in a matchup arena.

With two games left and his team currently sits at the sixth slot of the West, the availability of Murray is yet to be determined in this case. As such, if he opts to suit up, it’ll be a huge confidence booster for the title hopes of Mile High City.
