The Denver Nuggets have already agreed to trade one veteran rotation player, and they may not stop there. Denver is receiving great interest in point guard Monte Morris from teams around the NBA.
Morris has two seasons and $18.9 million left on his contract. He was first-time starter for the Nuggets in his fifth NBA season in 2021-22.
With Jamal Murray due back from injury next season and second-year player Bones Hyland ready for a bigger role, Denver is fielding trade calls for Morris. Morris’ reasonable contract and the Nuggets depth have him a target for rival teams this offseason.
In 75 games (74 starts), Morris averaged career-highs nearly across the board. Morris scored 12.6 points, dished out 4.4 assists and grabbed three rebounds per game. He also had very good 48/39/87 shooting splits.
