The Bulls have officially announced a contract extension for Nikola Vucevic, the 32-year-old center from Montenegro. The reported three-year deal is worth $60 million in total.
According to Joe Cowley of Chicago Sun Times, discussions between Vucevic and coach Billy Donovan about his offensive role played a part in the negotiations, as the player expressed a desire for more touches and opportunities to showcase his playmaking skills and post-up game.
In the previous season, Vucevic averaged 17.6 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, highlighting his valuable contributions to the Bulls’ lineup.
