Apparently, Russell Westbook and Patrick Beverley might have finally mended their fences as newfound allies in the Los Angeles Lakers.

Sources told NBA insider Marc Stein that both Westbrook and Beverley “have already been in contact since becoming Lakers teammates,” and coach Darvin Ham already has in mind some ideal lineups wherein the two will mutually share the court.

Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley have already been in contact since becoming Lakers teammates, league sources tell me, and new coach Darvin Ham has told them he has lineups in mind to play Russ and PatBev side-by-side.

Last week, Beverley was gained by the Lakers, sending Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson to the Utah Jazz to complete the transaction.

The said acquisition created murmurs within the league circles, wherein The Athletic’s Jovan Buha suggested that Westbrook’s time in Hollywood is nearing to an end.

It is widely been documented that both Westbrook and Beverley share a sheer bad blood with each other, rooted from the former MVP’s sustainment of a knee injury back in 2013 first-round postseason via veteran’s reckless dive towards the ball.

Almost ten years since then, things went full circle as it is, as both of these competitive guards are slated to place their full effort to help Los Angeles reach greater heights this upcoming 2022-23 campaign.
