The communication of the Brooklyn Nets with Kyrie Irving has been channelled entirely though his agent and stepmother Shetellia Riley-Irving, sources tell ESPN.
The Nets sent an email to Riley-Irving detailing his minimum five-game suspension and the conditions Irving needs to fulfill before being allowed to play again.
Those include a public statement recognizing the film Irving linked to last week as antisemitic, an apology for supporting the film and the falsehoods within it, and training sessions on the dangers of hate speech. Irving must also meet with Brooklyn Jewish leaders.
Joe Tsai and the Nets offered Irving a number of opportunities to disavow antisemitism in the week since he first posted a link to the documentary in question.
