The NBA has rescinded Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic’s 16th technical foul from Friday night’s game. That means Doncic will not face a one-game suspension. He will now be eligible for Sunday’s regular season finale.
Dallas still has a shot at passing the Golden State Warriors for the 3-seed. Doncic being available for that game gives the Mavs a better chance of moving up from the 4-seed to the 3-seed. Dallas can drop no lower than fourth in the Western Conference.
After receiving their 16th technical foul, players are suspended for a game. They are then suspended one game for every other technical foul for the remainder of the regular season. The technical foul count resets when the playoffs begin.
