The Lakers shook the NBA three years age as they made a move to acquire Anthony Davis. He helped the team win a championship in his first year but has not been dealing with injuries ever since.
Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith even called for the Lakers to trade Davis because of that. However, it seems that the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim due how much Los Angeles gave up to acquire the superstar.
Via Marc Stein:
“Jake Fischer on a potential Anthony Davis trade: I don’t think they will (trade him) at all, from what I’ve been told and the fact that what they gave up to New Orleans to get him… I mean the Lakers went all in on pairing Anthony Davis with the Bron for as long as that pairing could stand and I’d be shocked if it came to a close this offseason.”
This season Davis is averaging 23.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 35.1 minutes per game for the Lakers.
