Mitchell Robinson, the center for the New York Knicks, is said to be out for the rest of the 2023/24 season due to surgery on his left ankle. Upon hearing the news, Robinson expressed his discouragement on social media, and it’s completely understandable.
“I just don’t get it…I do everything I’m asked when it comes to my body and this s–t still happens like wtf. Another year another disappointment,” he wrote on Snapchat (Twitter link via New York Basketball).
Throughout his career, Robinson has faced various injuries, playing only 59 games in the last season. Despite sitting out the last six games, he holds the second position in the league for total offensive rebounds.
Before the injury, he was achieving career-high stats in rebounds (10.3), offensive rebounds (5.3), and steals per game (1.5).
