Since getting trading to the Nets, Mikal Bridges has been on a tear and became the leader of his new team. So far he has had three 40-point and multiple 30-point games for Brooklyn.
Most recently, the 26-year-old small forward dropped 42 points in the win over the Hawks. Bridges received appreciation from Nets fans who chanted “MVP” for him.
“It’s crazy,” the player said after the game, via Erik Slater. “I obviously wasn’t expecting that… It’s just a lot of love man. That’s the biggest thing I take away from being here is just the love from the city and the fans. Even when I’m home or walking around…”
Bridges is averaging 27.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 35 minutes per game for the Nets.
