Michael Porter Jr. will be activated by the Denver Nuggets on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers after a lengthy absence. He will mark his comeback after missing 13-straight games due to left heel strain.
Porter Jr. already made it known that he intends to make a return this Friday. The Nuggets went on to tally a robust 9-4 record on the 13-game stretch that he was absent.
Per Mike Singer of the Denver Post, Porter Jr. will start at the small forward spot, moving defensive ace Bruce Brown back to the bench.
Porter Jr. had a lengthy history of injury issues, as he was notably limited to single-digit amount of games last season due to a gruesome back injury. If healthy, he is a spectacular offensive talent that truly blends well with the all-around mastery of Nikola Jokic.
The former Missouri star is averaging 16.4 points, 6.0 boards, 1.2 dimes this current 2022-23 campaign.
