The Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks have discussed a trade involving John Collins, sources tell Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
A framework was discussed that would send Collins and the No. 15 pick to the Mavericks for Davis Bertans and the No. 10 pick.
Talks between the two teams do not appear to have progressed at this time.
The Mavericks are motivated to upgrade their roster immediately by moving the No. 10 pick.
Collins is entering Year 3 of a five-year, $125 million contract signed wit the Hawks in the 2021 offseason. Collins has long been a trade candidate by the Hawks and was reportedly close to being moved to the Phoenix Suns before they executed the Kevin Durant trade.
