Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv added another weapon to its backcourt with the signing of shooting guard Khyri Thomas for the remainder of the season. Thomas (1.91 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Spanish club Bilbao, where he averaged 12.0 points on 4-of-9 three-point shooting in two games this season. A two-time Big East Conference Defensive Player of the Year at Creighton University, Thomas played parts of three seasons in the NBA with Detroit and Houston. He averaged 16.4 points and 5.0 assists in five games with Houston last season. Thomas also spent time in the G-League with Grand Rapids and Austin.
