Luka Doncic returned for the Mavericks from a one-game absence. He dropped 53 points helping Dallas defeat the Pistons (111-105).
During the game he was going back and forth with Detroit’s assistant coach Jerome Allen. Doncic was asked after the game what it was all about.
“Since the first quarter he was chirping. You know I chirp back,” the Slovenian superstar said. “I don’t know [what he was chirping about].
“That was from the first quarter he was just chirping. I don’t want to say the words. I have no problem with that. It’s basketball. Gets me going for sure. I have no problem with that.”
Doncic was then asked if he enjoys such situations. “Yeah,” he said while smiling. “I do sometimes, sometimes not.”
