Luka Doncic has shed light on the injury that sidelined him during recent Slovenia’s exhibition games head of FIBA World Cup. The 24-year-old point guard opened up about the familiar setback he faced and the steps taken to manage it.
The setback occurred during the second quarter of Friday’s matchup against Spain, forcing Doncic to exit the game early and subsequently sit out the following game against Team USA.
Doncic revealed that the current injury is a recurrence of an issue he encountered after the NBA All-Star break last season with the Mavericks.
“It is an old injury, which caused me problems in March in the NBA. Therefore, we performed an MRI. Everything is okay. Nothing worse,” he said, via Grant Afseth of Sports Illustrated.
