LeBron James Responds to Lakers’ 20-Point Loss Despite His Big Game

LeBron James has addressed the media after storming down the players’ race with time still on the clock during the Lakers’ game against New Orleans on Sunday.

James finished with 35 points, five rebounds and eight assists, but LA still lost 129-109, marking their eighth loss in their 11 games since winning the NBA In-Season Tournament.

Postgame, LeBron was asked about the team having to play from behind due to slow starts, as was the case tonight when CJ McCollum helped the Pelicans to a strong early lead with five early three-pointers.

“Definitely we’re not a team that likes to play from behind,” James said. “We’ve been in that position a lot this year, especially in the first quarter, but we still was able to get back into the game. But they they they did a good job. You know, you give credit where credit’s due.”

LeBron also addressed the Lakers having 11 of their next 12 games in LA.

“It could hurt us in the sense where you start to feel comfortable because you’re at home,” he said. “So we have to understand that, yes, just because we’re home we really can’t relax now.”

The Lakers’ next game is against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
