The Los Angeles Lakers are disappointed in their season, but aren’t placing all of the blame on head coach Frank Vogel. The Lakers believe Vogel would have the team in a better place if wasn’t for injuries to key players.
With Anthony Davis having missed nearly half the season, and Kendrick Nunn missing the entire season, Los Angeles feels as though Vogel shouldn’t be fired. There is also belief within the Lakers organization that they can make a playoff run, should Davis get healthy late in the season.
It was also acknowledged that if the team’s recent string of poor play continues, a coaching change may still come. Los Angeles has looked listless and has lacked effort at times, including in two blowout losses this week.
