The Los Angeles Lakers are not looking to “force” a Russell Westbrook trade if they have to give up additional assets, according to Marc Stein.
There were previous rumors of a Westbrook swap for John Wall due to their identical salaries, though that trade would be contingent upon the Lakers adding in draft capital.
New Lakers coach Darvin Ham recently spoke of his excitement to work with Westbrook this season.
The team has also reportedly been aggressive in trying to acquire a second-round pick in the upcoming draft.
