The Lakers will be looking to win a fourth game in a row and catch the Warriors in the standings tonight as they will face the Jazz in Salt Lake City.
Los Angeles has five players listed on the injury report for the game. Anthony Davis (right foot stress injury) and D’Angelo Russell (left foot soreness) are probable while LeBron James (right foot soreness) is questionable.
Mo Bamba (left ankle sprain) remains out while Scotty Pippen Jr. (two-way) is with the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
Utah is guaranteed to miss three players, namely Jordan Clarkson (left hand fourth finger sprain), Rudy Gay (low back soreness) and Walker Kessler (concussion protocol).
Two more players are questionable – Lauri Markkanen (left hand contusion) and Collin Sexton (left hamstring strain).
This will be the third time that the Lakers face the Jazz this season. Utah won the first two games. The two teams will meet again on Friday in Los Angeles.
The Purple and Gold are currently seventh in the West with 40 wins and 38 losses, while the Jazz are 12th with a 36-42 record.
Ahead of tonight’s game, the Lakers are considered favorites amongst bookmakers, with NBA lines site Betway pricing them at -350 to beat the Jazz. The NBA odds for Utah to win this game are at +352.
