The Boston Celtics win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night averaged a 2.05 rating with 3.69 million viewers on ABC.
The numbers represent the most-watched regular season game outside of Christmas Day in three years (Blazers-Lakers on ESPN in January 2020, the first Lakers game following Kobe Bryant’s passing).
Taking out Christmas games, it was the first regular season game to get over a 2.0 rating since the Lakers-Clippers on ABC in March 2020.
The Knicks-Nets earlier in the day averaged a 1.3 with 2.45 million viewers, with the Nuggets-Sixers getting a 1.0 with 1.76 million viewers.
