The Los Angeles Lakers are the only known team planning a pursuit of Kyrie Irving via sign-and-trade, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Brooklyn Nets, however, are not believed to have interest in any of the packages made available by the Lakers. The Lakers could conceivably bring in a third team to help build a package that satisfies Brooklyn, who risk losing Irving for nothing.
Irving has until Wednesday to make a decision on his $36 million player option. If Irving declines the option, he could sign with the Lakers for their $6 million exception.
LeBron James and Irving are believed to both be amenable to a reunion.
