The Nets visited Boston for their regular season game against the Celtics. It was also a return for Kyrie Irving to the city where he spent two years.
As usual, the 29-year-old point guard got booed by the fans in Boston. Irving admitted that he expects this to be like that for the rest of his playing career.
“I know it’s going to be like that for the rest of my career coming in here,” Irving said, per Nick Friedell “So it’s like the scorned girlfriend — wants an explantation on why I left, but still hoping for a text back. I’m just like, “It’s fun while it lasted.””
Brooklyn lost the game by six points (120-126). Irving had 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
