Washington big man Kristaps Porzingis looks set to make his Wizards debut on Sunday. Porzingis was upgraded to probable for Sunday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.
The 7’3” forward/center has been out with a knee injury since being traded to Washington from the Dallas Mavericks at the trade deadline. The Wizards traded Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans in the deal to acquire Porzingis.
Porzingis has struggled to stay healthy the past two seasons. He appeared in only 43 games in 2020-21 and this season had played in just 34 games for Dallas before being traded. Washington hopes that Porzingis can help a push for the Play-In Tournament. The Wizards are currently two games behind the Charlotte Hornets with 20 games to play.
