The New York Knicks blew a 28-point lead at home in a 111-106 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
“The New York Knicks are a national disgrace,” ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith said after the game.
The Nets were playing without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and newly-acquired guard/forward Ben Simmons.
Durant may not have been playing – but that didn’t stop him from joining in on the fun.

Rookie Cam Thomas led all Nets’ scorers with 21; all off the bench.
Knicks’ forward Julius Randle had 31 points and 10 rebounds on 10-22 shooting – but it wasn’t enough to stave off the Nets.
If the panic meter wasn’t already at a ten in New York, it should be now.
The Knicks have lost three out of their last seven by blowing 20+ point leads, per Rob Perez.
Currently, the Knicks sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference with a 25-34 record.
