Klay Thompson on his shooting slump in Game 2

Klay Thompson struggled with his shot in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, making just 4 of 19 shots (1/8 from the three). Though it did not prevent the Warriors from winning the game and tying the series against the Celtics.

Ahead of Game 3 the 32-year-old shooting guard talked about the poor shooting night and what he needs to do to get back in his rhythm. “I watched the film. I probably seemed a little rushed,” Thompson said. “I wasn’t underneath my shot, but this is nothing I’m immune to.

“I’ve been through shooting slumps before and the best part is it’s how you respond. So, come Game 3 I’ll probably not do much differently rather than just play with great pace and hunt great shots because when I tend to do that, I tend to have the big night.

“And most importantly feels good going 4/19 and winning by 20. I’d rather do that than go 13/19 and lose by 10. Been there and that’s never fun.”
